PREVEN Training

Welcome to the PREVEN Training eLearning Platform – a space for health and social care professionals and trainers.

Working in care can be emotionally demanding, especially when supporting older people and those with complex needs. PREVEN was created to help you navigate these challenges with greater confidence, empathy and resilience. This platform brings together interactive tools, guided learning and practical resources designed to support you in managing work-related stress, strengthening soft skills and delivering safer, more compassionate care.

Here, you will begin with a Self-Diagnostic Test to understand your strengths and development areas, before moving through realistic learning scenarios that mirror the situations you face in your daily work. Trainers will also find a dedicated digital guide to support the use of these tools in professional learning settings, helping to turn reflection into meaningful development. Together, these resources form a learning journey that connects personal wellbeing, professional practice and the rights and dignity of the people you care for.

Self-Diagnostic Test

This is your starting point on the PREVEN learning journey. This interactive test is designed to help you understand how your soft skills support you in managing stress and working safely and effectively in care settings. Through short scenarios and questions, you will explore four key areas: communication, teamwork, problem-solving and empathy.
As you move through the game, you will step into realistic work situations and choose how you would respond. Your answers will build a personal skills profile, highlighting your strengths and areas for development.
The results will guide your learning journey on this platform, helping you focus on the skills that matter most for your wellbeing, professional confidence and the quality of care you provide.

Interactive Path

This learning path places you in realistic care situations where your choices shape what happens next. Guided by your Self-Diagnostic Test results, you will step into interactive stories, select how to respond and receive feedback on each decision. The scenarios reflect the kinds of challenges faced when supporting people with low levels of autonomy, including emotional strain, communication difficulties and stressful working conditions. By practising different responses and seeing their impact, you will strengthen your communication, teamwork, problem-solving and empathy, helping you build safer, more respectful and more resilient care practice. As you move through the game, you will step into realistic work situations and choose how you would respond.
